Sector: Germany-based bike manufacturer Canyon has just announced the opening of Canyon Finland. Finnish cyclists and Canyon-fans will benefit in various ways: With an official service center based in Finland, customer support will be faster and a lot easier in the future. Cyclists interested in purchasing a Canyon bike will have the opportunity to take their favorite bike for a test ride at events around Finland.
In the past, you could of course order a Canyon bike from Finland, but customer service was still based in Germany. Now, with the opening of Canyon Finland in the town of Turku, buyers will have a direct line to the manufacturer. Miika Enroos, new market manager for Canyon Finland is pretty excited about the project: “Finland is an important market for Canyon and we are experiencing increasing sales. With the local presence we will be able to safeguard the interest of our customers and have more influence on the Finnish bike market.”
For Canyon Chief Marketing Officer Matthew Heitmann, the opening of Canyon Finland was an important step, as “being close to our customers is a key feature of our customer-direct business model, as well as a core value for Canyon”. In the past, Canyon had already opened local offices in 14 countries, 12 of them in Europe, and two in Asia.
